Our Reception
Our reception is open from 8.30am to 6pm to help with local information, coins for the laundry or if you just feel like having a chat.
We have a resident Night Manager onsite after hours.

We can help you book your Abel Tasman National Park trips and other local activities, Intercity Buses, Interislander ferries and accommodation at any of the YHA Hostels in New Zealand.

Kitchens - Love to Cook?
We are lucky to have TWO large newly renovated kitchens. There is always plenty of room for you to prepare your favourite food. Rice cookers, sandwich machines, blenders and more... We provide herbs and spices for you to use
Fresh bread is delivered daily for our guests to enjoy.
Bathrooms - Brand New
Light, bright and sparkling clean we have lots of newly renovated bathrooms all around the Hostel. There is one close to your room.
Bike Hire & E-Bike Hire
We have the latest City Bikes and some zippy Electric bikes available for Half or Full day Hire. Helmets, gloves,bike locks and break down kit included. We have trail maps and can give you suggestions depending on your ability and the amount of time you have available.
Bike Storage
Bring your favourite bike to Nelson... we are setting up the Best Bike Cave in town.
It's right inside our building so your precious machine will be safe and comfy.....
There is also room to work on your bike if it's in need of some TLC.
Common Rooms
We have several great areas to relax in around the hostel. You can find a quiet spot or a place to have fun and share with friends.
Our seperate TV Room is soundproof and we have hundreds of movies available if you need some Chill Out time.... have you seen the Lord of the Rings series (filmed in New Zealand) ?
Sauna
Yes we have a Sauna! It is available free of charge for you to use. Perfect if you've had a hard day kayaking, tramping or enjoying Nelson's other great outdoor activities.
Barbeque
Feel like cooking outside ..... then check out our BBQ. It's in the courtyard beside the kitchen and is a great spot in summer or even on a sunny winters day to enjoy a meal.

When we entered, we we amazed by how friendly the hostel staff was. The hostel is far cleaner than many other hostels...and hotels. The kitchen is really good since it has a lot of space for everyone. Beside the kitchen is a ping-pong table, which is nice when you do not want to go out for the night. If I were to go back to Nelson, I would book this hostel without a second thought."
